WHAT IS WOODWOOL?

What makes this shirt special is its excellent comfort. In a WoodWool shirt, you'll immediately feel the wide, comfortable temperature range, where you're neither too cold nor too warm.

This is achieved through an innovative blend of 50% mulesing-free Merino wool and 50% wood fibers. This combination is climate-balancing and also biodegradable.

• High abrasion resistance and softer grip: Grüezi bag® combines wool with the finest wood fibers (lyocell) in a 50:50 ratio to increase abrasion resistance. The result: a skin-friendly, soft feel combined with high durability and longevity.
  
• Climate balancing: Wool naturally regulates moisture and body temperature. It creates a pleasantly comfortable microclimate and prevents evaporative cooling. Even when damp, it retains its warming properties.
  
• Antibacterial: Wool inhibits the growth of bacteria and neutralizes unpleasant odors – perfect for longer periods of wear.
  
• More recovery, more energy: Wool supports the body in temperature regulation thanks to its excellent temperature-balancing properties.

MAINTENANCE

Washing

• Wash your wool shirt at 30 °C (86 °F) on the wool cycle of the washing machine – and only with wool detergent without protease.
• Wash your wool products not together with garments that have zippers, Velcro or hooks It is best to use a Laundry bagto protect the fibers.
• Fill the washing machine only half and choose a low spin speed.
• Do not tumble dry or wring out – this will prevent the wool from felting.
• For stains (e.g. deodorant residue or cream): Carefully knead the stain with diluted wool detergent, then wash as normal. Do not rub!

Drying Solutions

• Take off the damp wool shirt after washing. carefully shaped in length and width.
• Leave it lying flat on a clothes drying rack to air dry. – not hanging, not on the heater and not in direct sunlight.

Storage

Tips for everyday life:

• Wet wool is sensitiveFor example, don't wear wet wool shirts directly under your backpack – otherwise, friction can cause holes.
• Airing instead of washing: Wool doesn't need to be washed often. Airing the wool product thoroughly is usually sufficient—because wool is naturally odor-inhibiting and dirt-repellent.
• Pilling is normalOur WoodWool products form fewer small pills than pure merino wool. However, pilling can still occur in high-wear areas (e.g., backpack straps or waistbands) – this is simply a characteristic of natural fibers.
