WHAT IS WOODWOOL?

WoodWool is a pleasantly soft material made from lyocell and wool. It was developed for products that lie directly against the skin, providing a naturally comfortable feel while wearing or sleeping, for example in shirts, liners and lightweight travel products.

This combination unites two materials with different strengths: The TENCEL™ Lyocell A100 fiber feels soft and gentle on the skin and enhances the fabric's durability. Wool can absorb moisture, reduce odors, and regulate the skin's temperature.

This creates a pleasantly dry, balanced feeling, whether hiking, traveling, sleeping, or in everyday life. Especially when temperatures change, you sweat, or the humidity rises, WoodWool supports a comfortable microclimate and ensures that the material feels pleasant for a long time.

Climate responsibility: We are creating a Greenhouse gas balance for Grüezi bag GmbH, in order to systematically record emissions and derive concrete reduction measures from them.
Climate-stable mixed forests: Grüezi bag® supports, in cooperation with Waldemarie, a Reforestation project for climate-stable mixed forests in Germany.
The wood fibers Lyocell fibers are made from wood from certified sources. In the production process, more than 99,8% of the solvent used is recovered and reused.

MAINTENANCE

Washing

Wash your wool product at 30°C (86°F) in the wool cycle of the washing machine - and only with wool detergent without protease.
Wash your wool products not together with garments that have zippers, Velcro or hooks It is best to use a Laundry bagto protect the fibers.
Fill the washing machine only half and choose a low spin speed.
Do not tumble dry and do not wring out. This will prevent the wool from felting.
For stains (e.g. deodorant residue or cream): Carefully knead the stain with diluted wool detergent, then wash as normal. Do not rub!

Drying Solutions

Take off the damp wool shirt after washing. carefully shaped in length and width.
Leave it lying flat on a clothes rack to air dry - Do not hang, do not place on a radiator, and do not place in direct sunlight.

Storage

Wool is a natural material – and therefore susceptible to damage. Clothes mothsStore rarely used items in the best place. cleaned in tightly sealed garment bags.
Scented sachets (e.g. with lavender or cedarwood) also help to keep moths away.
Fly screens on windows and doors prevent moths from entering the house.

TIPS/NOTES

Wet wool is sensitiveFor example, do not wear wet wool shirts directly under your backpack - otherwise, friction can cause holes.
Airing instead of washingWool doesn't need to be washed often. Usually, it's enough to air out the wool product well – because wool is naturally odor-resistant and dirt-repellent.
Pilling is normalOur WoodWool products form fewer small pills than pure merino wool. However, pilling can still occur in high-wear areas – this is simply a characteristic of natural fibers.
