The WoodWool Liner Almhütte is an ultralight, compact inner sleeping bag (only 320 g) that is versatile: It protects the sleeping bag from dirt, slightly improves the insulation performance and ensures that you can sleep in your own "bed linen" anywhere – whether in the mountain hut, in the hotel, in the bus, airplane or when summer camping.
The skin-friendly, antibacterial material provides a pleasantly dry sleeping experience and is ideal for those who value hygiene, comfort, and a balanced sleeping environment while on the go. Especially practical for hut hikes: The liner is also suitable as a hut sleeping bag, where microwave treatment against bed bugs is required for hygiene reasons.

However, the actual effect depends on various factors such as outside temperature, humidity, and the insulation material of your sleeping bag, so we cannot provide an exact temperature rating.

WHAT IS WOODWOOL?
In a WoodWool liner, you immediately feel the wide temperature comfort zone, where you are neither too cold nor too warm.
This is achieved through the innovative blend of 20% mulesing-free Merino wool and 80% wood fibers. This combination acts as a lightweight and natural air conditioner and is also biodegradable.

MAINTENANCE
Washing
- Wash your wool liner at 30 °C (86 °F) on the wool cycle of the washing machine – and only with wool detergent without protease.
- Wash your wool products not together with garments that have zippers, Velcro or hooks It is best to use a Laundry bagto protect the fibers.
- Fill the washing machine only half and choose a low spin speed.
- Do not tumble dry or wring out – this will prevent the wool from felting.
- For stains (e.g. deodorant residue or cream): Carefully knead the stain with diluted wool detergent, then wash as normal. Do not rub!
Drying Solutions
- Pull the wet liner after washing carefully shaped in length and width.
- Let it air dry lying down on a clothes rack – not hanging, not on the heater and not in direct sunlight.
Storage
- Wool is a natural material – and therefore susceptible to Clothes moths. Store rarely worn items best cleaned in tightly sealed garment bags.
- Scented sachets (e.g. with lavender or cedarwood) also help to keep moths away.
- Fly screens on windows and doors prevent moths from entering the house.
Tips for everyday life:
- Wet wool is sensitiveFor example, don't wear wet wool shirts directly under your backpack – otherwise, friction can cause holes.
- Airing instead of washing: Wool doesn't need to be washed often. Airing the wool product thoroughly is usually sufficient—because wool is naturally odor-inhibiting and dirt-repellent.
- Pilling is normalOur WoodWool products form fewer small pills than pure merino wool. However, pilling can still occur in high-wear areas (e.g., backpack straps or waistbands) – this is simply a characteristic of natural fibers.
