Alpine wool, on the other hand, dries quickly, efficiently wicks away moisture, and provides warmth even when damp. This makes Alpine wool good insulation even in cold, wet weather or high humidity.
- Larger temperature range: Alpine wool blankets have a wider temperature range where you feel comfortable. Wool balances temperature fluctuations like a gentle natural air conditioner.

WHAT IS ALPINE WOOL?
What makes this blanket special is its innovative lavalan® Alpine Wool insulation. The insulation consists of a lightweight wool fleece from sheep from the Alpine region: robust, natural, biodegradable, and renewable.
In a wool sleeping bag, you'll immediately feel the wide temperature comfort range, where you're neither too cold nor too warm. Furthermore, the insulation is naturally resistant to very high levels of moisture, creating a natural, dry, and balanced sleeping environment.
- Effective temperature and humidity regulation: Wool balances temperature fluctuations. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture and releases it back to the outside in a controlled manner. This natural regulation creates a warming or cooling effect without the cooling effects of evaporation.
- Insulates even in very high humidity: Wool wicks away sweat and retains its warming properties even when damp, something no other material can match. This means it provides excellent insulation even in very high humidity, offering high thermal performance in cold, wet weather.
- Dries very quickly: Wool insulation dries very quickly and can therefore be used directly on rivers, on boats, in the tropics even at over 100% humidity
- Neutralizes unpleasant odors: Wool has an antibacterial effect and thus naturally counteracts unpleasant odors.

MAINTENANCE
- The blanket can be washed with a wool detergent (without protease) at a maximum of 30°C/86°F by hand or in the washing machine on the wool cycle. Do not use fabric softener.
Drying Solutions
On sunny days, you can place the blanket on a clothes rack to allow air to reach the blanket from above and below. Please allow plenty of time to dry.
Tip:
- When the blanket is first unpacked, it will take some time to fluff up. If you iron the blanket loosely with a steam iron on the silk setting before first use, the wool will fluff up faster and the blanket will also be able to regulate its temperature better.
- Airing a wool blanket is better than washing it. They rarely need to be washed, as wool itself has natural odor-inhibiting and dirt-repellent properties. For minor external soiling, we recommend gently cleaning only the stain itself (see above). Sleeping bags with greasy or extensive soiling can be machine washed.
