The Lightweight DownWool Jacket is a lightweight, versatile insulated jacket for biking or trekking on cool autumn and spring days, and also ideal for ski touring in winter. Thanks to DownWool® and AlmWolle insulation, it offers a dry, balanced wearing climate, is resistant to high humidity, and optimally balances temperature fluctuations between active phases and rest breaks.

WHAT IS DOWNWOOL®?
DownWool® is the perfect combination of down and wool. This blend offers outstanding insulation and an exceptionally wide temperature comfort range – even in high humidity.
This is made possible by the mechanical composite of 70% RDS-certified down and 30% alpine wool – a patent-pending, durable and washable combination.
Down: best insulation performance
High-quality down offers excellent warmth with minimal weight. However, in high humidity (e.g., due to sweat or condensation), it clumps together and loses its insulating effect. This is where DownWool® and solves this problem:
The added wool keeps the down drier, as it can withstand up to Absorb 30% of their own weight in moisture and can be released to the outside. Even with 90% humidity DownWool® remains insulating because the wool fibers stand up and the Increase bulking power by up to 30%.
Wool: natural moisture and temperature regulation
Furthermore, the insulation in the hood, lower back, sides and forearms consists of a lightweight lavalan® wool fleece from sheep in the Alpine region: robust, natural, biodegradable and renewable.

MAINTENANCE
Washing
- Wash your DownWool® product by hand or at 30 °C (86 °F) in the wool cycle of the washing machine – and only with a down detergent.
- Please turn inside out, zip up, run an additional rinse cycle and do not use fabric softener.
- Fill the washing machine only half and choose a low spin speed (max. 600 revolutions).
- For stains (e.g. deodorant residue or cream): Carefully knead the stain with diluted down detergent, then wash the area by hand and let it dry (su). Do not rub!
Drying Solutions
- Dry the DownWool® product in Tumble dry at max. 60 °C/ 140 °F And be sure to add 2-3 tennis balls for better loosening.
- Perform several drying cycles: after each drying cycle, remove the item from the machine, shake or loosen it well, and allow it to cool down in between.
- The dryer must be set to a timer program to dry the down completely.
- If you don't have a tumble dryer, let the product air dry lying flat on a clothes rack. – Do not hang it up, not on a radiator, and not in direct sunlight. Shake it frequently to allow air to circulate around it from above and below.
When is the drying process completed?
- Until the item feels more filled than beforeIf the item still hasn't regained its original thickness, you'll need to repeat the drying process. Depending on the water resistance of the outer material, the drying time can vary (at least 2 days, depending on the dryer model).
- The down must be completely dry. If the jacket isn't dried and fluffed properly, there's a risk that the down feathers will clump together. This will damage the jacket beyond repair. Damp down can develop an odor, which will dissipate once it's dried.
Tips for everyday life:
- After each tourDown items should be dried in a tumble dryer with tennis balls from time to time or after every trip to remove excess moisture.
- Airing instead of washing: Wool doesn't need to be washed often. Airing the wool product thoroughly is usually sufficient—because wool is naturally odor-inhibiting and dirt-repellent.
