The Grüezi bag® Wool Survival XXL is a robust 3-season sleeping bag with AlmWolle insulation for all those who want to sleep comfortably outdoors - while camping, bushcraft, trekking, under the tarp, in the camper, on canoe and boat trips or in regions with high humidity and changeable weather.

Its particular strength lies in the insulation provided by the alpine wool. Wool can absorb moisture, release it to the outside, and provide warmth even when damp. Especially in high humidity, condensation in tents, under tarps, on boats, or near rivers and coasts, alpine wool promotes a pleasantly dry, balanced sleeping climate and helps reduce a clammy feeling in the sleeping bag.

The Wool Survival sleeping bag is designed for nights when warmth is just as important as durability, comfort, and protection. The resilient outer fabric is suitable for demanding outdoor use, while the anti-slip nubs on the bottom help keep the sleeping bag stable on your sleeping mat.

WHAT IS ALPINE WOOL?

AlmWolle is a lightweight, high-performance wool insulation based on a lavalan® wool fleece using wool from sheep in the Alpine region. It is particularly suitable for all-round sleeping bags that also perform well in cold weather. MAINTENANCE

Washing

  • Wash your AlmWolle product by hand or at 30 °C (86 °F) on the wool cycle of the washing machine – and only with wool detergent without protease.
  • Please turn inside out, zip up, run an additional rinse cycle and do not use fabric softener.
  • Fill the washing machine only half and choose a low spin speed (max. 600 revolutions).
  • For stains (e.g. deodorant residue or cream): Carefully knead the stain with diluted wool detergent, then wash the area by hand and let it dry (su). Do not rub!

Drying Solutions

  • Leave the product to air dry lying flat on a clothes drying rack.– not hanging, not on the heater and not in direct sunlight.

TIPS/NOTES

  • After each tourWoolen items should be dried from time to time or after every trip to remove excess moisture.
  • Ventilate instead of washing: Wool is naturally odor-resistant and dirt-repellent. For minor external soiling, we recommend gently cleaning only the stain itself (see care instructions). Heavily soiled and greasy sleeping bags can be machine washed.
  • Sleeping bag loose and dry in Storage bags store (not in compression bag).
  • While packing: Stuff the foot section first, do not roll or fold.
