The perfect sleeping bag for huts or travel

The small and light "Wolle Almhütte" is the ideal summer hut sleeping bag or a summer blanket sleeping bag for traveling.

The Grüezi bag® sleeping bag is used as a hygienic alternative to bedding in huts and provides more warmth than the thin liners commonly found on the market.

The "Biopod Wool Alpine Hut" is particularly comfortable in summer in accommodations such as hotels or vacation apartments with air conditioning. When unfolded, it replaces the often-used cotton sheets as a lightweight, climate-regulating blanket.

Grüezi bag® sleeping bags offer the best sleeping comfort and functionality

Grüezi bag sleeping bags have received numerous awards for their excellent insulation and well-thought-out designs.

  • Dry and balanced sleeping environment even at very high humidity: Alpine wool dries quickly, efficiently wicks away moisture, and provides warmth even when damp. This makes it a good insulator even in cold, wet weather or high humidity.
  • Larger temperature range: Alpine wool sleeping bags offer a wider temperature range for comfort. Wool acts as a natural, gentle air conditioner to balance temperature fluctuations.
  • Best sleep quality: Longer sleep, falling asleep faster and sleeping through the night is possible thanks to the wool content in the insulation filling.
  • Well-thought-out cut for optimal freedom of movement: The comfort cut allows the body to assume a relaxed position, even when lying on your side with your legs bent, thus ensuring a peaceful, restful sleep.
  • OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification: Grüezi bag® products are harmless to human health.
  • Alpine wool from Bavaria: It is made in Bavaria from the wool of sheep from the Alps.
  • Lightweight and small pack size: Ultralight, durable, and recycled fabrics save weight. The fabric is also impermeable to clothes moths.

WHAT IS ALPINE WOOL?

What makes this sleeping bag special is its innovative lavalan® Alpine Wool insulation. The insulation consists of a lightweight wool fleece from sheep from the Alpine region: robust, natural, biodegradable, and renewable.

Wool acts like a lightweight, natural air conditioner. In a wool sleeping bag, you'll immediately feel the wide temperature comfort zone, where you're neither too cold nor too warm. Furthermore, the insulation is naturally resistant to very high levels of humidity, creating a natural, dry, and balanced sleeping environment.

  • Effective temperature and humidity regulation: Wool balances temperature fluctuations like a light, natural air conditioner. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture and releases it back to the outside in a controlled manner. This natural regulation creates a warming or cooling effect without the cooling effect of evaporation.
  • Insulates even in very high humidity: Wool wicks away sweat and retains its warming properties even when damp, something no other material can match. This means it provides excellent insulation even in very high humidity, offering high thermal performance in cold, wet weather.
  • Dries very quickly: Wool insulation dries very quickly and can therefore be used directly on rivers, on boats, in the tropics even at over 100% humidity
  • Neutralizes unpleasant odors: Wool has an antibacterial effect and thus naturally counteracts unpleasant odors.
  • sleep quality: Longer sleep, faster falling asleep and better sleep through the night increases thanks to the wool filling.
  • More sleep, more energyThe body needs a lot of energy to regulate its temperature. Wool supports this process thanks to its excellent temperature-regulating properties.

The result: Excellent insulation and a wide temperature range in which you'll feel comfortable and sleep well. Furthermore, an Alpine wool sleeping bag is very resistant to moisture, making Alpine wool sleeping bags from Grüezi bag® popular all-rounders, even in very humid areas.

WHAT IS ARL?

The high-quality, stable, and lightweight, three-dimensionally welded microfiber filling from Grüezi bag® provides high loft, which is crucial for retaining air and thus ensuring pleasant warmth. The three-dimensional structure of the filling also promotes moisture transport to the outside, creating a pleasant climate. This filling is characterized by its robustness, durability, and moisture resistance.

SUSTAINABILITY AND CLIMATE RESPONSIBILITY

  • Grüezi bag® is a CO2-neutral Companies.
  • animal welfare: mulesing-free sheep wool from Europe
  • OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification for all materials used. This label for textiles tested for harmful substances guarantees that the product is harmless to health.
  • PFC-free: No perfluorinated chemicals are used.
  • If required, priming or impregnation.: highly water-repellent thanks to the environmentally friendly German impregnation BIONIC-FINISH ECO with RUCO-DRY ECO PLUS.
  • Recycled materials
  • Easy care: The sleeping bag can be washed by hand at max. 30 °C/86 °F or in the washing machine on the wool cycle.

MAINTENANCE

Washing

  • The Washing instructions are in the inside pocket of the sleeping bag.
  • The sleeping bag can be washed with a wool detergent (without protease) at a maximum of 30°C/86°F by hand or in the washing machine on the wool cycle. Please turn inside out, zip up, run an additional rinse cycle, and do not use fabric softener.

Drying Solutions

On sunny days, you can place the sleeping bag on a clothes rack to allow air to reach the sleeping bag from above and below. Please allow plenty of time for the sleeping bag to dry out.

Tip:

  • When unpacked for the first time, the sleeping bag needs some time to fluff up. If you iron the sleeping bag loosely with a steam iron on the silk setting before first use, the wool will expand more quickly and the sleeping bag will then be able to regulate its temperature better.
  • All sleeping bags should be dried from time to time or after each trip to remove excess moisture.
  • Sleeping bags must be stored open and dry in a storage bag. A discarded pillowcase can also be used as a storage bag.
  • When packing the sleeping bag into the compression bag, it must be stuffed with the foot end first, not rolled or folded.
  • Airing a sleeping bag is better than washing it. Wool sleeping bags rarely need to be washed, as wool itself has natural odor-inhibiting and dirt-repellent properties. For minor external soiling, we recommend gently cleaning only the stain itself (see above). Greasy and extensively soiled sleeping bags can be machine washed.
  • A sleeping pad should be placed under every sleeping bag, as the insulation is compressed towards the bottom of the sleeping bag and therefore cannot retain air and therefore heat. You can find more information about the right sleeping pad here. Here
