How do I wash my sleeping bag?

Hybrid or DownWool® sleeping bags can be washed in the washing machine. It is important to use a special Down detergent and set the wool cycle. The sleeping bag should then be gently spun.

Hybrid DownWool® sleeping bags should then be placed in the dryer given where they have a dry for a longer period of time It is essential that the sleeping bag dries completely! If it feels thinner than before washing, it's not completely dry yet. The sleeping bag should be voluminous and fluffy again. If it's stored while damp, the down can clump together and cause irreparable damage.

Wool sleeping bags, on the other hand, don't need to be put in the dryer, as they dry actively on their own. Simply spread them out in the fresh air; they dry relatively quickly. Wool sleeping bags should also be cleaned with a wool detergent on the gentle cycle.

It is best to store the sleeping bag open so that the insulation does not lose its effectiveness through constant compression.
