How do I wash my sleeping bag?

Hybrid or DownWool® sleeping bags can be washed in a washing machine. It is important to use a special down detergent and select the wool cycle. Afterwards, the sleeping bag should be gently spun.

Hybrid DownWool® sleeping bags should then be placed in a dryer , where they need to dry for an extended period . It is essential that the sleeping bag dries completely! If it feels thinner than before washing, it is not yet completely dry. The sleeping bag should regain its full volume and fluffiness. If it is stored damp, the down can clump together and the sleeping bag can be irreparably damaged.

Wool sleeping bags, on the other hand, don't need to be put in the dryer, as they dry actively on their own. Simply spread them out in the fresh air; they dry relatively quickly. Wool sleeping bags should also be cleaned with a wool detergent on the gentle cycle.

It is best to store the sleeping bag open so that the insulation does not lose its effectiveness through constant compression.
