Our greenhouse gas balance
For us at Grüezi bag®, sustainability means making responsibility measurable.
For the reporting year 2024, we prepared a greenhouse gas inventory (corporate carbon footprint) in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, in cooperation with nunc sustainability consulting. In doing so, we recorded emissions in Scope 1, Scope 2, and key Scope 3 categories for our locations.
- Scope 1 & 2 (direct emissions and energy procurement): 2.193 t CO₂e emissions
- Scope 3 (purchased goods, upstream transport, end-of-life and business travel): 200.533 t CO₂e emissions
- Total: 202.726 t CO₂e emissions
Based on this data, a corresponding accounting statement was issued: CO2 balance certificate
For us, this balance sheet is not an endpoint, but a starting point. It helps us identify key emission sources and derive targeted measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. When developing our products, we focus on comfort, functionality, and durability. At the same time, we also consider selected environmental, animal welfare, and social aspects in our material selection and collaboration with manufacturers.
WHY IS CLIMATE PROTECTION IMPORTANT TO US?
Climate protection is an important part of our work. Our products should not only be technically impressive, but also developed with a conscious consideration of material selection, use, and durability. Therefore, we carefully select materials and pay attention to robust, durable, and pollutant-tested fabrics.
