Grüezi bag insulation

At Grüezi Bag, we use different insulation materials for good reason. Different temperatures require different physical properties of the insulation:

  • DownWool®: This insulation is ideal for temperatures between 0 and 25°C. In this temperature range, moisture is trapped in the insulation, which is why we use wool in the insulation to effectively regulate moisture.

  • DownWool® Hybrid: This insulation is particularly well-suited for sub-zero temperatures. Moisture rises through the insulation and condenses on the outer shell. Therefore, we use wool on the outside to wick away this moisture and retain warmth.

  • Alpine wool: This material is particularly suitable for high humidity, such as that found near lakes, rivers, or on boats. Alpine wool is completely impervious to moisture, but can be somewhat heavier.
