Readers of the B2B publication outdoor.markt have voted Grüezi bag "Rising Star of the Year 2022". The brand is gaining more and more fans with its sleeping bags made from a wool-down blend ("DownWool") as insulation material and is now also using this innovative material in jackets.

Readers of the B2B medium outdoor.markt voted and named Grüezi bag the "Rising Star of the Year 2020."
A distinguished jury of experts from management, marketing, media, and agencies awarded Grüezi bag the "Special Jury Prize" at the 2020 Brand Award. This prestigious brand award is presented annually by absatzwirtschaft and the German Association of Marketing Clubs (BVMC). The jurors praised the strategy behind the material selection and production of the high-quality sleeping bags.
2018-2019
2018: the world's first sleeping bag with down and wool layer "DownWool Hybrid"
To enable expeditions to use Grüezi bag®, Grüezi bag® is reinventing the sleeping bag: Markus Wiesböck is experimenting and has filed a patent for his latest invention: a down sleeping bag that, with an additional wool layer, can handle damp and cold temperatures. A carbon heating element can also be lifesaving for those suffering from hypothermia. The " DownWool Hybrid " series was also tested by the German Armed Forces in May 2021: in a cold chamber at -40°C and under scientific observation, the test subjects slept best with the Grüezi bag® sleeping bag!
Oh yes: "I can make synthetic sleeping bags too": following this motto, Markus Wiesböck proves that he can make conventional sleeping bags better than the competition. The " Synpod Island " is awarded the title of most comfortable sleeping bag.
2019: the world's first sleeping bag without synthetic materials
The "Biopod DownWool Nature Comfort " is made from 100% natural materials, from the DownWool filling to the olive wood button. It was a favorite at ISPO 2019 and won the Outdoor Industry Award in 2018.

2017: the world's first sleeping bag with DownWool® insulation
The next invention makes established brands look outdated: for the first time, Grüezi bag® sleeping bags insulate with a blend of down and wool in a comfortable, supportive design. Untreated, washable, and combining the best properties of both wool and down, DownWool® is patented and wins further prestigious awards. The " Downwool Subzero " sleeping bags become one of Grüezi bag's most successful product lines.
2015-2016
2015: the world's first lightweight sleeping bag with wool insulation
At ISPO, Markus Wiesböck presented a revolution in the outdoor sector: a lightweight wool sleeping bag that, thanks to the properties of wool, guarantees a dry and warm sleeping climate and features a comfortable design. A sleeping bag from Grüezi bag® is intended not only to offer the best sleeping climate, but also to be functional and innovative! The fact that the Wool Zero is also superior to a synthetic sleeping bag is subsequently proven by its price. The outdoor industry is taking notice of the inventor from Bad Feilnbach.
