Temperature range

The first value – Tcomf – is the temperature at which it's just below freezing. This means Tcomf is the lowest value of the comfort range, where it can already get chilly.

The second value – Tlim – is the value at which you can start to feel cold, i.e. start to shiver.

The third value – Text – is a theoretical value at which there is already a risk of health damage due to hypothermia. You don't need to consider this value when purchasing a sleeping bag.

WASHING ALMWOLLE SLEEPING BAGS

How to wash a wool sleeping bag properly

- Maximum 30°C by hand or on the wool wash cycle
- Turn inside out and wash with wool detergent
- Spin at a maximum of 600 revolutions
- It is best to let it air dry

Worth knowing: Because wool has high self-cleaning properties due to the unique structure of its individual fibers, which means it doesn't attract dirt and grime, frequent washing of the AlmWolle sleeping bag is unnecessary. However, if the sleeping bag is ready for washing, cleaning is as straightforward as described above. However, since wool is a fast-drying fiber, we recommend air-drying. This protects both the environment and your sleeping bag.

STORAGE

Please store the sleeping bag in the included storage bag in a dry place. Never leave the sleeping bag in the compression bag for extended periods, as this may damage the insulation.

Sustainability

ANIMAL-APPROPRIATE HUSBANDRY
Our wool comes from sheep in the European Alpine region – animal welfare is a top priority here, as no mulesing is necessary.

100% PFC-FREE IMPREGNATIONS
The sleeping bags are treated with a durable water-repellent impregnation based on bio-based raw materials (BeSoDRY-ECO).

DEGRADABLE PAINTS
We use dyes that are non-toxic to nature and meet both Cradle to Cradle requirements and the bluesign® standard (selection of BEMACRON dyes from the CHT Group).

RECYCLED NYLON
The nylon we use is 100% recycled according to GRS4 standard - this results in the lowest energy consumption during production.
