The company Kultschlafsack is founded. Previously, Markus Wiesböck developed sleeping bags for other brands. But eventually, he wanted to implement the wishes and suggestions of his customers and his own ideas: in 2010, his first own synthetic fiber sleeping bags are launched under the company name "Kultschlafsack GmbH" – with a striking pattern!
2014
Markus's masterpiece: his down sleeping bag "The Spider Down". He spent almost 20 years tinkering with it, inventing a new chamber system similar to a spider web and using new materials like merino wool in the foot area. His vision of the perfect sleeping bag drives him.
2015
First international award: the "Outdoor by ISPO" award for a competitive sleeping bag with natural wool insulation!
The development of the "Biopod Wool Zero" sleeping bag is a milestone for the outdoor industry. The sleeping bag from Grüezi bag® is not only sustainable, but also functional and innovative!
But now things are really getting started: Numerous awards are followed by many more innovative and unique developments. The natural insulation materials DownWool®, DownWool-Hybrid and SilkWool, as well as the very skin-friendly and durable WoodWool, continue to set standards to this day.
