Save weight and space when trekking and camping with innovative DownWool® insulation
The DownWool Quilt is the ideal sleeping bag replacement from spring to autumn for all hammock sleepers or those looking to save weight while trekking.
The multifunctional top quilt can be used as a blanket in a hammock, as a cozy down comforter, or as a liner in another sleeping bag to increase its temperature rating. It can also be attached to a sleeping mat as a sleeping bag, thus saving weight and packing space.
When the air becomes humid, the DownWool® quilt really comes into its own: It keeps you warm even in changeable weather, optimally regulates heat and moisture and ensures a pleasantly dry sleeping climate.
- Problem: Moisture weakens sleeping bags made of down or synthetic fibers.
- Solution: DownWool® (70% down, 30% wool) remains effective – and even becomes stronger when wet.
Why you will love the quilt
- Dry and warm in any weather – unlike pure down, it remains DownWool® insensitive to moisture and insulated Even better in high humidity.
- Effective temperature compensation – no heat build-up, no freezing
- Comfort cut– more freedom of movement, a more comfortable sleeping position and no cold spots
- Excellent sleep quality: The natural climate-balancing insulation contributes to falling asleep faster, sleeping more deeply and overall longer, more restful sleep.
- 100% natural insulation and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100
FEATURES
- Flexible fixing system: The three included elastic bands can be hooked onto the back of the quilt. These are then pulled over the sleeping pad, securely securing the quilt to the pad. This eliminates the need for the back of the sleeping bag and thus also reduces weight. When camping or in warm weather, the fastening system can be removed and the quilt used as a blanket.
- Snap fastener at the top: To be able to secure it around the shoulders in a hammock and also use it as a cape.
- Thermal collar strip: Forms a seal around the neck to prevent heat from escaping.
- Double-sided elastic drawstrings: For comfortable neck adjustment to prevent heat from escaping.
- zipper:
- Two-way zipper: Can be operated from both ends and inside/outside.
- Auto-Lock prevents accidental opening.
- Black zipper: Cooler look and better camouflage in the dark.
- Underlined Zipper cover prevents cold bridges so that heat cannot escape.
- Feater loops: A warming hip bag with heating element (Feater - The Feet Heater) can be installed additionally.
- Silicon dots on the sidebar: to prevent slipping off the sleeping mat.
- Lockable footmuff: The blanket can be closed with a leg-high zipper to create a footmuff, leaving the quilt open from the hips upwards. An elastic drawstring and a hook-and-loop fastener completely close the foot area, keeping it cozy and warm.
- Chamber construction: H-chambers, sidewall construction to avoid cold bridges
- Delivery: Quilt, compression sack, elastic fasteners with hooks, storage bag.

WHAT IS DOWNWOOL®?
DownWool® is the perfect combination of down and wool. This blend offers outstanding insulation and an exceptionally wide temperature comfort range – even in high humidity.
- Moisture is the biggest weakness of conventional Sleeping bagsPure down loses its loft, and synthetic fibers insulate significantly worse than high-quality down or DownWool®.
- DownWool® This solves this problem in a fundamentally new way. The combination of high-quality down and regulating wool stabilizes the insulation, It ensures a permanently dry climate and prevents heat loss in wet conditions.
The result is a new, natural insulation - lightweight, climate-stable and reliable under real outdoor conditions.
The technology behind the isolation
70% high-quality duck down
Ensures maximum heat output with minimal weight.
30% natural wool
It absorbs moisture, stabilizes the loft and creates a balanced wearing climate.
The combination creates insulation that is not only warm and lightweight, but also remains consistently effective under changing weather conditions.

MAINTENANCE
Washing
- Wash your DownWool® product by hand or at 30 °C (86 °F) in the wool cycle of the washing machine – and only with a down detergent.
- Please turn inside out, zip up, run an additional rinse cycle and do not use fabric softener.
- Fill the washing machine only half and choose a low spin speed (max. 600 revolutions).
- For stains (e.g. deodorant residue or cream): Carefully knead the stain with diluted down detergent, then wash the area by hand and let it dry (su). Do not rub!
Drying Solutions
- Dry the DownWool® product in Tumble dry at max. 60 °C/ 140 °F And be sure to add 2-3 tennis balls for better loosening.
- Perform several drying cycles: after each drying cycle, remove the item from the machine, shake or loosen it well, and allow it to cool down in between.
- The dryer must be set to a timer program to dry the down completely.
- If you don't have a tumble dryer, let the product air dry lying flat on a clothes rack. – Do not hang it up, not on a radiator, and not in direct sunlight. Shake it frequently to allow air to circulate around it from above and below.
When is the drying process completed?
- Until the item feels more filled than beforeIf the item still hasn't regained its original thickness, you'll need to repeat the drying process. Depending on the water resistance of the outer material, the drying time can vary (at least 2 days, depending on the dryer model).
- The down must be completely dry. If the down is not properly dried and fluffed, there is a risk that the down feathers will clump together. This will render the item irreparably damaged. Damp down can smell, but this will disappear once it is dry.
TIPS/NOTES
- Down items should be cleaned from time to time or after each tour with tennis balls in the tumble dryer be dried, so that excess moisture is removed.
- Ventilate instead of washing: Wool is naturally odor-resistant and dirt-repellent. For minor external soiling, we recommend gently cleaning only the stain itself (see care instructions). Heavily soiled or greasy sleeping bags can be machine washed.
- Occasional down feathers escaping These are normal and not a quality defect. Our DownWool® products are made from high-quality, intentionally uncoated fabrics to ensure breathability. Therefore, down may escape more easily than with coated fabrics. This phenomenon occurs only rarely and to a very small extent, and does not lead to any significant loss of filling or warmth.
- Sleeping bag loose and dry in Storage bags store (not in compression bag).
- While packing: Stuff the foot section first, do not roll or fold.
- Every sleeping bag needs a sleeping padThis is because the insulation in a sleeping bag is compressed downwards and therefore cannot trap air and thus heat. You can find more information about choosing the right sleeping mat here. here.
