Lightweight summer sleeping bag with high sleeping comfort
Lightweight, compact and climate-regulating – the “DownWool 2.0 Summer LightThis is the ideal sleeping bag for trekking, biking, camping, and hut stays from spring to autumn. The innovative DownWool® filling combines down and wool for comfortable warmth, even in high humidity. Perfect for travel during the best time of year, sustainably produced, thoughtfully designed – for a restful sleep.
DownWool® 2.0 – the better down
The problem with classic down: moisture & overheating
Down is the lightest and most insulating natural material—and extremely compressible. However, traditional down has its weaknesses: it loses its insulating properties in high humidity and can lead to overheating. This poses a real risk to comfort and rest, especially when traveling in changeable climates. This is precisely where DownWool® comes in—the intelligent evolution of down. The award-winning DownWool® sleeping bags are uniquely designed and offer solutions for precisely these weaknesses.
-
Heat output even at high humidity
Unlike conventional down, DownWool® retains its insulating properties even in high humidity—and even increases them by up to a third. DownWool® puffs up, trapping even more warmth. Even at 90% humidity, it remains pleasantly warm—ideal for both dry and cold, wet conditions. -
Effective temperature compensation – no heat build-up, no freezing
The innovative filling consists of 70% RDS-certified animal welfare down and 30% wool from the Alps – a natural combination with high-tech functionality. DownWool® actively regulates temperature, constantly returning to skin temperature. This prevents overheating and avoids overcooling. At the same time, it absorbs moisture and wicks it away. This creates a pleasantly dry sleeping environment and a significantly wider comfortable temperature range – ideal for changeable weather. -
Comfortable cut – more freedom of movement, less cold
For restful sleep, the body needs freedom of movement. The ergonomic cut of DownWool® sleeping bags offers just that: space for sleeping positions such as side sleeping or turning, even in a mummy position. The slightly more generous fit prevents cold spots because the filling is not compressed – for consistently pleasant warmth and maximum sleeping comfort. - Best sleep quality: The natural climate-balancing insulation contributes to falling asleep faster, sleeping more deeply and overall longer, more restful sleep.
- And best of all: light & compact. In addition to their high functionality, DownWool® sleeping bags are amazingly light and packable – for more space in your backpack and maximum comfort on the go.
- OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified: Every part of the Grüezi bag® products has been tested for harmful substances and is therefore harmless to human health.

-
zipper:
- Two-way zipper: operable from both ends and from the inside/outside.

- Foot ventilation system: The innovative zipper design allows your feet to rest comfortably on top of the sleeping bag and excess heat to escape.
- Pre-shaped foot box: When lying down there is enough space in the sleeping bag to point your toes.
- Feater loops: A warming hip bag with heating element (Feater - The Feet Heater) can be installed additionally.

WHAT IS DOWNWOOL® 2.0?
DownWool® is a patented combination of down and wool. With DownWool® 2.0, the insulation has been further developed: Thanks to the optimized wool structure, it now achieves the weight and pack size of pure down – without its weaknesses in terms of moisture.
- Moisture is the biggest weakness of conventional sleeping bags.Pure down loses its loft, and synthetic fibers insulate significantly worse than high-quality down or DownWool®.
- DownWool® This solves this problem in a fundamentally new way. The combination of high-quality down and regulating wool stabilizes the insulation, It ensures a permanently dry climate and prevents heat loss in wet conditions.
The result is a new generation of natural insulation - lightweight, climate-stable and reliable under real outdoor conditions.
The technology behind the isolation
70% high-quality duck down
Ensures maximum heat output with minimal weight.
30% natural wool
It absorbs moisture, stabilizes the loft and creates a balanced wearing climate.
The combination creates insulation that is not only warm and lightweight, but also remains consistently effective under changing weather conditions.

MAINTENANCE
Washing
- Wash your DownWool® product by hand or at 30 °C (86 °F) in the wool cycle of the washing machine – and only with a down detergent.
- Please turn inside out, zip up, run an additional rinse cycle and do not use fabric softener.
- Fill the washing machine only half and choose a low spin speed (max. 600 revolutions).
- For stains (e.g. deodorant residue or cream): Carefully knead the stain with diluted down detergent, then wash the area by hand and let it dry (su). Do not rub!
Drying Solutions
- Dry the DownWool® product in Tumble dry at max. 60 °C/ 140 °F And be sure to add 2-3 tennis balls for better loosening.
- Perform several drying cycles: after each drying cycle, remove the item from the machine, shake or loosen it well, and allow it to cool down in between.
- The dryer must be set to a timer program to dry the down completely.
- If you don't have a tumble dryer, let the product air dry lying flat on a clothes rack. – Do not hang it up, not on a radiator, and not in direct sunlight. Shake it frequently to allow air to circulate around it from above and below.
When is the drying process completed?
- Until the item feels more filled than beforeIf the item still hasn't regained its original thickness, you'll need to repeat the drying process. Depending on the water resistance of the outer material, the drying time can vary (at least 2 days, depending on the dryer model).
- The down must be completely dry. If the down is not properly dried and fluffed, there is a risk that the down feathers will clump together. This will render the item irreparably damaged. Damp down can smell, but this will disappear once it is dry.
TIPS/NOTES
- Down items should be cleaned from time to time or after each tour with tennis balls in the tumble dryer be dried, so that excess moisture is removed.
- Ventilate instead of washing: Wool is naturally odor-resistant and dirt-repellent. For minor external soiling, we recommend gently cleaning only the stain itself (see care instructions). Heavily soiled or greasy sleeping bags can be machine washed.
- Occasional down feathers escaping These are normal and not a quality defect. Our DownWool® products are made from high-quality, intentionally uncoated fabrics to ensure breathability. Therefore, down may escape more easily than with coated fabrics. This phenomenon occurs only rarely and to a very small extent, and does not lead to any significant loss of filling or warmth.
- Sleeping bag loose and dry in Storage bags store (not in compression bag).
- While packing: Stuff the foot section first, do not roll or fold.
- Every sleeping bag needs a sleeping pad, because the insulation is compressed towards the bottom of the sleeping bag and therefore cannot retain air and therefore heat. You can find more information about the right sleeping mat here. here.
