Sleep naturally and well with Alpine wool
If you sleep well, you are rested and fit for the day. A basic prerequisite for this is a balanced sleeping environment, which Alpine wool creates perfectly. Exactly the Alpine wool that goes into our Grüezi bag sleeping bags!
The alpine wool used in our sleeping bags acts like a natural Air conditioning:
Our bodies constantly release moisture. If too much humidity builds up in our sleeping bag, we freeze, and a good night's sleep is impossible. Wool has the ingenious ability to absorb moisture and release it only in small doses. This is why evaporative cooling doesn't occur in our Alpine wool sleeping bag, because wool still keeps you warm even when damp!
Structure of the wool fiber

Due to its intricate structure, the wool fiber can absorb moisture and thus optimally regulate the sleeping climate.
Climate miracle Alpine wool: It warms and cools equally, for an all-round feeling of well-being and relaxed sleep.
Grüezi bag uses for its product line Biopod wool, which "Filling wool from sheep from the Alpine region"It is processed and delivered by the renowned wool supplier Lavalan. Regional products and short delivery routes are important to us.
Why is wool the right material for your sleeping bag?
Studies such as those by Woolmark Australia show that wool helps you sleep longer and more restfully because it ideal sleeping temperature of 33°C It creates a nearly perfect body temperature for us humans. Other materials only do so inadequately. Synthetic duvets, in particular, are significantly inferior to wool, especially alpine wool. And then something nobody wants happens: You kick yourself free in your sleep and get hypothermia...
This was tested in Sleep laboratories at an actually pleasant ambient temperature of 22°C.
By the way, couples also sleep comfortably under a blanket made of alpine wool, because the wool fiber regulates each body temperature separately.
Robust, natural, antibacterial, biodegradable and renewable: Sheep's wool, in our case the special Alpine wool, is a naturally renewable raw material that can be sheared annually and decomposes without residue at the end of its life. A biological cycle. Alpine wool therefore also meets the demands of environmentally conscious consumers.

Alpine wool or DownWool? When do we recommend which insulation?
Sleeping bags with alpine wool insulation are designed for temperatures well above zero. They particularly excel in high humidity, such as near rivers, lakes, or the sea. Alpine wool can absorb a great deal of moisture without losing its insulating properties. This is why you'll always have a dry, warm climate in your sleeping bag with alpine wool.
If you want to use your sleeping bag at temperatures around freezing and below, we recommend our DownWool Subzero and Ice sleeping bags.
Sleeping bags with DownWool filling offer an optimal insulation-to-weight ratio. The down content provides excellent insulation and makes the sleeping bag lightweight. The wool, thanks to its moisture-regulating properties, ensures an optimal comfort climate.
