The DownWool Dreams Duvet All Season Light was designed precisely for this purpose. It gently envelops the body, providing a comforting sense of security and is suitable for people with moderate warmth requirements. Thanks to its wide temperature comfort range, it can be used as an all-season duvet for many months in normally heated bedrooms.

Why DownWool® makes the difference

Especially on warm nights, it's not just a small fill weight that matters. How well moisture is absorbed and wicked away from the body is also crucial . Most summer duvets rely on either pure down or synthetic fibers. DownWool® takes a different approach: it combines two high-quality natural materials that complement each other perfectly.

  • 70% high-quality, RDS-certified down They ensure lightness, softness and high bulk.
  • 30% fine wool They can absorb moisture and balance the climate under the duvet.

The wool in DownWool® can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp. This promotes a pleasantly dry sleeping environment and helps prevent both overheating and chilling.

At the same time, wool has the natural property of regulating temperature fluctuations . This keeps the microclimate under the duvet pleasantly constant – neither too warm nor too cool.

The optimal ratio of down to wool

The correct mixing ratio is crucial for the effectiveness of DownWool®.

After numerous development and practical tests, the combination of 70% down and 30% wool was chosen. It combines the lightness and loft of a high-quality down comforter with the climate-regulating properties of natural wool.

This results in a lightweight, all-season duvet that provides pleasant warmth while also supporting a balanced sleeping environment.

Gentle to the skin

The cover also contributes significantly to sleeping comfort. The high-quality cover consists of:

  • 80% finely woven cotton
  • 20% SMARTCEL™ fiber

The cotton provides a natural and soft feel. The SMARTCEL™ fiber contains zinc oxide and can support skin-friendly and odor-inhibiting properties.

This makes the duvet feel pleasantly soft on the skin - especially on warm nights or in direct skin contact.

Consistent comfort in every corner

The DownWool Dreams Duvet All Season Light features an elaborate construction with 80 small chambers.

These chambers keep the filling evenly in place and prevent it from shifting. Integrated baffles reduce thermal bridges and promote even heat distribution.

MAINTENANCE

Washing

  • Wash your DownWool® product by hand or at 30 °C (86 °F) in the wool cycle of the washing machine – and only with a down detergent.
  • Please turn inside out, zip up, run an additional rinse cycle and do not use fabric softener.
  • Fill the washing machine only half and choose a low spin speed (max. 600 revolutions).
  • For stains (e.g. deodorant residue or cream): Carefully knead the stain with diluted down detergent, then wash the area by hand and let it dry (su). Do not rub!

Drying Solutions

  • Dry the DownWool® product in Tumble dry at max. 60 °C/ 140 °F And be sure to add 2-3 tennis balls for better loosening.
  • Perform several drying cycles: after each drying cycle, remove the item from the machine, shake or loosen it well, and allow it to cool down in between.
  • The dryer must be set to a timer program to dry the down completely.
  • If you don't have a tumble dryer, let the product air dry lying flat on a clothes rack.– Do not hang it up, not on a radiator, and not in direct sunlight. Shake it frequently to allow air to circulate around it from above and below.

When is the drying process completed?

  • Until the item feels more filled than beforeIf the item still hasn't regained its original thickness, you'll need to repeat the drying process. Depending on the water resistance of the outer material, the drying time can vary (at least 2 days, depending on the dryer model).
  • The down must be completely dry. If the down is not properly dried and fluffed, there is a risk that the down feathers will clump together. This will render the item irreparably damaged. Damp down can smell, but this will disappear once it is dry.

TIPS/NOTES

  • Down products should be tumble dried with tennis balls from time to time. be dried, so that excess moisture is removed.
  • Airing the product is better than washing it.DownWool® items rarely need washing, as wool itself has natural odor-resistant and dirt-repellent properties. For minor external soiling, we recommend gently cleaning only the stain itself (see care instructions). Heavily soiled or greasy items can be machine washed.
  • Occasional down feathers escaping These are normal and not a quality defect. Our DownWool® products are made from high-quality, intentionally uncoated fabrics to ensure breathability. Therefore, down may escape more easily than with coated fabrics. This phenomenon occurs only rarely and to a very small extent, and does not lead to any significant loss of filling or warmth.
