Which insulated jacket suits you best?
You warm up going uphill. At the summit, the wind picks up. On the descent, the exertion decreases, and suddenly it gets cold.

Grüezi bag® uses DownWool®, SilkWool and AlmWolle for this . Depending on the model, the materials are used individually or combined in a targeted way.
DownWool®, lots of warmth with little weight
DownWool® combines 70% down with 30% wool.
The down provides excellent warmth while remaining lightweight and compact. The wool complements the down with its temperature- and moisture-regulating properties.
This is particularly useful in changing conditions: when you exert yourself, moisture is generated, and then a calmer or colder phase follows.
DownWool® is particularly suitable for: trekking, hiking, bikepacking, ski touring, winter sports, cold breaks on the mountain and everyday life on cool to cold days.
SilkWool, if you are very active
SilkWool combines 50% wool, 30% recycled silk and 20% PLA sugar starch to create a lightweight insulation for active use.
Silk helps wick moisture away from the body. Wool helps regulate temperature and humidity and can provide warmth even when damp.
This makes SilkWool particularly suitable for tours where you don't have the same constant strain, for example when hiking, biking, climbing or ski touring.
SilkWool is the right choice if you are looking for a lightweight insulated jacket or vest for high-intensity activities.
Alpine wool is used specifically where more moisture is generated.
In selected Grüezi bag® hybrid jackets, AlmWolle is specifically used in body areas where increased moisture can occur during movement, for example on the sides, forearms, lower back or hood.
In other areas, DownWool® provides thermal insulation.
This body mapping principle combines different insulation materials where their respective properties can be used most effectively.
